Marika Marjanen

Breeder, Kennel Cybertails 

My name is Marika, and I breed Kerry Blue Terriers under my kennel name, Cybertails, together with my daughter, Salla.

My passion for dogs began in childhood, when I volunteered at a local animal shelter. It was through that experience that I found my very first dog—a Bouvier des Flandres male imported from the Netherlands, Snowman Daphne V.H. Aspasiahof, affectionately known as "Tykki."

With Tykki, I explored a variety of dog sports, including obedience training and introductory search and rescue work. We also spent many enjoyable weekends attending dog shows.

I welcomed my first Kerry Blue Terrier into my family in 2010, and before long a second Kerry followed. While we continued exhibiting our dogs, our interests gradually expanded to more active disciplines such as agility and rally obedience.

I have completed both the Basic and Advanced Breeder Courses offered by the Finnish Kennel Club. I am a qualified trial official in both agility and rally obedience, and I am also a licensed ring steward at dog shows. Continuing education is important to me, and I regularly attend seminars, workshops, and training courses to further develop my knowledge. I also serve as a member of the Council of the Finnish Kennel Club.

In addition, I am an active board member (currently also a President since 2024) of the Kerry and Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Finland and serve on the club's Breeding Committee.

Salla Lehtinen

Breeder, Kennel Cybertails

I was just eight years old when our family's first Kerry Blue Terrier joined us. From the very beginning, I was actively involved in caring for our dog alongside my mother. A few years later, when we welcomed a second Kerry into our family, I discovered my passion for agility and rally obedience.

Over the years, I have learned to groom Kerry Blue Terriers according to the breed standard, and I often help the owners of our puppies with maintenance grooming and trimming advice.

Photography is one of my greatest interests, with a particular focus on animals—especially horses and, of course, dogs. I am responsible for most of the photography and content on the Cybertails website and social media channels. I also serve as the webmaster and social media coordinator for our breed club. Some of my photographs have been published in our breed club's magazine, and one was even featured in Koiramme, the official magazine of the Finnish Kennel Club.

I have completed the Finnish Kennel Club's Basic Breeder Course, and since 2022 I have officially been part of the Cybertails breeding program.

I also serve as a board member of the Kerry and Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Finland.
